Approved: Fort McKay Area Structure Plan

The Fort McKay Area Structure Plan (Bylaw 17/022) is intended to guide growth and development in the hamlet of Fort McKay over the next 10 years. This Area Structure Plan is a result of collaboration with the Fort McKay Métis community and leadership, as well as other major stakeholders.

The 2017 Fort McKay Area Structure Plan, which is consistent with the Municipal Development Plan (Bylaw No. 11/027), sets out principles, objectives and policies that will help realize the community’s vision.

The ASP addresses the desire to create a sustainable community, respect and celebrate the Métis cultural heritage, enhance the hamlet’s physical and social infrastructure, and protect the natural environment.

Please note that amendments to these plans are consolidated on a quarterly basis.
