Disaster Recovery Program (DRP)

Disaster Recovery Funding

All flood-impacted residents, businesses and property owners are strongly urged to apply for the Government of Alberta’s Disaster Recovery Program (DRP).

Please go to https://www.alberta.ca/disaster-recovery-programs.aspx to download and submit your application form, and to find the most up-to-date program guidelines. The deadline to apply is August 5, 2020 but we encourage impacted residents to submit their application as soon as possible.

This program is administered by the Government of Alberta and provides financial assistance for uninsurable loss and damage caused by emergencies and disasters, like the spring flood in Fort McMurray. While the DRP does not cover all types of damage or loss and may not cover the full cost of replacement, we look forward to the provincial government’s ongoing support and are encouraged by their desire to help our community get back on its feet.

We are only just beginning our path to recovery and much of the hard work lies ahead. Our promise is to be with you every step of the way, doing everything we can to ensure the supports this community needs are in place.

Important information for flood-impacted residents, businesses and property owners applying for the DRP is available below.
