Information about your 2017 Notice of Assessment

Residents are reminded that the deadline to file an appeal against the 2017 Notice of Assessment is May 1, 2017. It’s important to note that your property assessment is based on your property’s market condition as of July 1, 2016 and physical condition date as of December 31, 2016, which are legislated dates by the Municipal Government Act.

For residents who have been affected by the 2016 wildfire and believe their 2017 Notice of Assessment is incorrect due to the property’s physical condition as of December 31, 2016, please contact the Assessment office to have your assessment reviewed. If a discrepancy is found in the physical condition of your property due to the wildfire as of this legislated date, an appeal will not be required and a new assessment notice will be issued. Please contact the Assessment office at 780-743-7900 or email .
