2017 Culture Network Terms of Reference

The Culture Network updates the Terms of Reference annually.

What is the Culture Network?

The Culture Network is a community-based network that recognizes, promotes and supports arts and culture issues in Wood Buffalo. It is owned by the community and facilitated by its members.

The history of the Culture Network

The Culture Network was initiated in May 2011 in response to community feedback who recognized a growing need for individuals and groups to meet, face-to-face, to discuss similar issues and interests surrounding Wood Buffalo’s Arts and Culture sector. The inaugural meeting took place on May 5, 2011, and brought interested community members together to set the framework in order to create a sustainable network of cultural agencies, now known as the Culture Network. Since then, the Culture Network has hosted regularly scheduled meetings bringing together a variety of Arts and Cultural enthusiasts maintaining the collaborative thread that strengthens Wood Buffalo’s vibrant culture.

How do I become a member of the Culture Network?

There is no cost to being a member or to attend the bi-monthly meetings. To be included in the discussion, simply attend one of the scheduled meetings below, or contact the administrative support.
