Toys for Tickets

Bring joy to children in need this holiday season. If you receive a parking ticket between Dec. 1 and 15, you have the option of donating toys instead of paying the ticket.

Toys will be accepted at the Timberlea Detachment (105 Paquette Dr.) between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Dec. 16 and 19. All toys will be donated to the Fort McMurray Salvation Army, which will distribute them to local families through their Adopt-A-Family program.

Toys must be:

  • New and in their original packaging
  • Accompanied by the toy’s original receipt
  • Of equal or greater value than your ticket. If the value of the toys is lower than the price of your ticket, gift cards and a validation slip will be accepted for the difference.

We are unable to accept cash or cheques for the difference.

The program applies to tickets issued for timed parking and Winter Maintenance Zones infractions.

For more information about Toys for Tickets, please call Municipal Law Enforcement at 780-788-4200.
