Bus Terminals – Thickwood Blvd and Confederation Way

As part of ongoing improvements to transit service, the Municipality is proposing to build two new bus terminals pending Council approval.

The project proposes one new terminal located on Thickwood Blvd. in front of the Casman Centre by the corner of Eymundson Rd. The other is proposed for Confederation Way at the corner of Paquette Dr.

At this stage, pre-design has been completed and engineers will begin detailed design.

This project is fully funded through federal and provincial grant funding and will be built on Municipal property.

If the project is approved, motorists can expect some minor delays due to lane closures in the construction area along Confederation Way and Thickwood Blvd. Please observe any posted signage and be aware of workers in the area.

Project Schedule

Pending Council approval, it is expected the project will start in Spring 2018, with an estimated completion in Fall 2018.

Construction projects are subject to unforeseeable delays including weather, crew availability and equipment issues. All timelines are best guesses only.

Project Highlights

  • Heated bus shelters
  • Sidewalks connecting to existing pedestrian network
  • Fencing for safe pedestrian access
  • Vehicle and pedestrian lighting
  • Thickwood terminal close to Casman Centre facilities (washrooms and refreshments)
