Weather conditions have been favourable for the demolition and debris removal processes. Demolition has finished on schedule, though the completion date for debris removal and demobilization has been extended until Feb. 18. Details can be found on the demolition schedule. Starting Feb. 2, crews had seven scheduled days off, and resumed work on Feb. 9 Crews continue to remove concrete and metal from the site. Once the site has been cleared, open areas will be backfilled and levelled, followed by demobilization. A final safety inspection of the site is scheduled for Feb. 17 to ensure there are no hazards remain following the demolition and clean-up process. The revised end date is now Feb. 18. Based on progress made, the contractor has modified the schedule to reflect a two-day demolition process for each building rather than four days, shortening the overall timelines originally anticipated for the demolition.
