The Hardin Street to McLeod Street phase of the Clearwater Drive construction project is now open. Residents can use Clearwater Drive to bypass downtown from Hardin Street to the southeastern end of Franklin Avenue. When the fourth and final phase of the project is finished in late 2018, residents will be able to bypass downtown from Morrison Street.

Construction of Clearwater Dr. (formerly known as Prairie Loop Blvd.) will be completed in phases, beginning in May 2017. When complete, the road will run from the southeast end of Franklin Ave. to Morrison St.

Phases 1 - 3

Phases 1 - 3 of Clearwater Drive are open, which spans from the northeastern end of Hardin Street to the southeastern end of Franklin Avenue. The route creates a ring road around downtown starting at Hardin Street. When the fourth and final phase of the project is finished in late 2018, residents will be able to bypass downtown from Morrison Street.

Phase 4 Construction - Hardin St. to Morrison St.

The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is initializing construction of Clearwater Drive (formerly known as Prairie Loop Blvd.) from Hardin Street to Morrison Street.

The Scope of this project will affect residents and traffic on Gordon Ave, Main Street, and Morrison Street. Construction activities are expected from September 1 2017 to November 15, 2017 and then April 15, 2018 through November 15, 2018.

Access to Snye Park, to the Amenities Building, and to all residents will be maintained through the course of this project.

E Construction has been selected as the General Contractor for this project and will be responsible for the planning, safety and traffic management associated with construction activities.
