Spot Repairs and CIPP (Cure in Place)

Spot and cure-in-place repairs take up to a week and help extend the life of existing infrastructure. These repairs may affect water or sewer service for a limited amount of time. Three days’ notice is provided in advance of planned shut-offs.

The following locations are scheduled for spot or cure-in-place repairs in 2018:

  • Fraser Ave and Hill Drive : No full road closure but there will be detours.
  • Alberta Drive by the Pocket Park - There will be an open trench on this project in the greenspace.
  • Ells Crescent - One spot repair of up to two weeks’ duration.
  • Biggs Ave near the church - Three spot repairs on Biggs Avenue and a pipe relining. Access will be limited, and driveways may be affected.
  • Beacon Hill Dr (In green space) - This will be in the greenspace and will not disturb roadways or driveways.
  • Beacon Hill Place (in green space) - this should take a couple of days. This will be in the greenspace and will not disturb roadways or driveways.
  • Beaver Ridge Close (in greenspace) - this should take a couple of days. This will be in the greenspace and will not disturb roadways or driveways
  • C. A. Knight Way (MacDonald Island Park) – this will fix flooding issues. The work will be occurring off the road and will not impact traffic.
  • McCormick Dr – a fire hydrant will be installed. Expect partial road closures but it will be passable.
