Urban Infrastructure Rehabilitation Program

The Municipality will be performing routine maintenance in Wood Buffalo’s urban communities. The Urban Infrastructure Rehabilitation Program (UIRP) maintains core services to residents, including water, sanitation and storm water service, as well as road surface quality, while planning for future growth in urban neighborhoods.

As part of our urban infrastructure rehabilitation program (UIRP), the Municipality is upgrading the infrastructure on Poplar Crescent, Crescent Heights, Biggs Avenue and Rae Crescent.

The Municipality is upgrading the infrastructure on Hill Drive and McLeod Street.

The Municipality is upgrading the infrastructure on Cowley Bay and Caldwell Crescent including public utility lanes (PULs).

Notice re: parking access at the Morrison Centre during sidewalk construction on Franklin Ave.

The Municipality is starting up sidewalk concrete work on Franklin Avenue towards the end of May 2017. The construction is expected to be finished later this summer and includes sidewalks, curbs and gutters in the following areas:
  • Richard Street to Morrison Street (south side)
  • Morrison Street near A&W
  • Morrison Street to Main Street (north side)
  • Main Street east side (bus bay) from Franklin Avenue to MacDonald Avenue
  • Hardin Street from Franklin Avenue to MacDonald Avenue
