Communications and Stakeholder Relations
As the voice of the organization, the Communications & Stakeholder Relations department is responsible for maintaining the Municipality’s corporate image. The department provides strategic communications counsel, public relations, advertising, media relations, issues management, stakeholder management, creative services, and web content development and management. It provides communication services during Emergency Operations Centre activations.
The department ensures that information relating to the Municipality is strategic, tied to organizational goals, and easily accessible to residents and employees.
The Communications and Stakeholder Relations department comprises three branches:
Creative Solutions conceives, designs and produces print and electronic communications material for the Municipality that ranges from posters and billboards to the Municipality’s website.
Public Affairs works collaboratively with other externally facing departments and provides public engagement services in the urban service area. This branch facilitates meaningful interactions and dialogue between the Municipality and its residents. It also oversees some customer service delivery on behalf of the RMWB including the Mailroom and Public Inquiries.Phone: 780-799-8679
Strategic Communications is responsible for external communications on behalf of the Municipality. This branch oversees media relations, corporate social media and strategic communication planning and execution. Strategic Communications works to enhance the Municipality’s brand and reputation; reputation and issues management are at our core.
