Communications and Stakeholder Relations
As the voice of the organization, the Communications and Stakeholder Relations department is responsible for serving residents by providing consistent, valuable and timely information. The department strives to help residents understand what their local government is doing and why.
Communications and Stakeholder Relations works to create and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as residents, media and other government representatives. The department also provides communication services during Emergency Operations Centre activations.
The Communications and Stakeholder Relations department is comprised of three branches:
Stakeholder Relations works collaboratively with other externally facing departments to engage with and gather input from the public. This branch fosters meaningful relationships between the Municipality and its stakeholders, including residents, communities, governments and industry.
Strategic Communications provides timely and easily accessible information to residents and employees. This branch provides strategic communications counsel, advertising, media relations, issues management, creative services, and online content development and management.
