Community Development grant opportunity and Community Plan on Homelessness RFP now open

(Fort McMurray, AB – December 22, 2017) – The Municipality is accepting applications and proposals for two Community Services programs this winter.

Community Development grant opportunity
The Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) grant is used to support the design and delivery of preventive social services programs that promote and enhance the well-being of individuals, families and communities.  

The closing date for grant applications is Jan. 25, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. MST. Applications must be received before the closing time at cip@rmwb.ca or at the following address:

Community Plan on Homelessness Request for Proposal
Submissions are being accepted for the annual Community Plan on Homelessness Request for Proposal (RFP).

The RMWB receives funding for homelessness initiatives from the provincial and federal governments. Applicants are invited to submit proposals for programs and services that align with Heading Home: The Right Thing to Do, 10-Year Plan to End Homelessness 2010-2020 using the Housing First approach.  

Housing First focuses on accomplishing five primary goals: education, change management, prevention, re-housing and provision of supports. For more information about the RFP, please visit rmwb.ca/cph.
