Election 2017: Municipality providing new accessibility service

(Fort McMurray, AB – Oct. 3, 2017) – The Municipality is pleased to offer an enhanced voter accessibility service in the 2017 municipal election.

The AutoMARK™ ballot-marking system provides independence to voters who are blind, visually impaired, or have a disability or condition that makes it difficult to traditionally mark a ballot.

To learn more about this enhanced service and how it can help, please contact the Elections Office at elections@rmwb.ca or 780.743.7001. This service is in addition to a number of options facilitated by the Municipality to increase accessibility in the 2017 election.

This service will be available at the following polling stations:

Jubilee Centre (9909 Franklin Ave.)

  • Saturday, Oct. 7; Wednesday Oct. 11; Thursday, Oct. 12 and Saturday, Oct. 14

Oil Sands Discovery Centre (515 MacKenzie Blvd.)
Holy Trinity High School (230 Powder Dr.)

  • Monday, Oct. 16 (Election Day)
