Election 2017: Nomination Day is September 18

(Fort McMurray, AB – September 12, 2017) – Prospective candidates in the 2017 municipal election are reminded of Nomination Day on Monday, Sept. 18.

All candidates must file their completed and approved nomination papers between 8:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. MT on Sept. 18 at one of the following locations:

Ward 4 Anzac Municipal Office (Anzac) 105B-4 Christina Dr.
Ward 4 Conklin Municipal Office (Conklin) 245 Northland Dr.
Ward 4 Janvier Municipal Office (Janvier) 110 Janvier Dr.

Candidates are advised to ensure all required forms are completed and commissioned in advance of Nomination Day, as there is no guarantee there will be an authorized Commissioner for Oaths at a municipal office. It is strongly encouraged this portion of the process be completed prior to Nomination Day.

The 2017 municipal election takes place on Oct. 16. Advance polls are scheduled on select dates between Oct. 7 and Oct. 14. More information on polling locations, dates and times will be released soon.
