Bylaw Services Weekly Update: Jan. 16-22, 2017

(Fort McMurray, AB – January 13, 2017) – Residents are reminded of the four designated off-loading areas for Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) usage: Snye Point, Abasand Staging Area, Timberlea/Tower Road, and Horse Pasture Park in Waterways. These locations are designed to guide users onto trails and away from the urban service area, where the use of OHVs are prohibited. OHV trail systems are patrolled by Wood Buffalo RCMP and Municipal Law Enforcement, who aim to educate and enforce against violations.

Photo radar vehicles will be located near the following areas for week of Jan. 16-22, 2017:

  • Franklin Avenue
  • Carteret Drive
  • Eagle Ridge Boulevard
  • Bulyea Avenue
  • Highway 63 between Hardin Street and Beacon Hill
  • School Zones within the Urban Service Area

  • Confederation Way and Paquette Drive
