Bylaw Services Weekly Update July 24 – 30, 2017

(Fort McMurray, AB – July 21, 2017) – Going for a bike ride with the kids this weekend? Please remember that anyone under the age of 18 is required by law to wear a helmet when riding a bicycle.  

Anyone cycling on municipal property (such as parks or trails) is required to wear a helmet, regardless of age. Helmets must fit properly, not have any damage and not be expired in order to perform as intended.  Please check yours before you ride.

Photo radar vehicles will be located near the following areas for week of July 24 – 30, 2017

  • MacDonald Crescent
  • Franklin Avenue
  • Alberta Drive
  • Tundra Drive
  • Highway 69 – Saprae Creek Trail
  • Real Martin Drive

  • Christina Gordon Public School
  • St. Kateri Catholic School
  • Walter and Gladys Hill Public School

  • Franklin Avenue and Tamarack Village Mall
  • Franklin Avenue and Hospital Street
  • Confederation Way and Paquette Drive

We ask motorists to be mindful of posted speed limits and to obey traffic signals.
