Bylaw Services Weekly Update June 13 – 19, 2017

(Fort McMurray, AB – June 9, 2017) – Residential street sweeping is in full swing. Residents are reminded to watch for No Parking signs being posted in areas to be swept. 

No Parking signs will be posted a minimum of 48 hours prior to street sweeping. Vehicles parked in active No Parking zones will be ticketed and could be towed to the impound yard. Parking tickets and towing fees are the responsibility of the vehicle owner. Please help our Municipal crews clean our streets by moving your vehicle on street sweeping days.

Photo radar vehicles will be located near the following areas for week of June 13 – 19, 2017:

  • MacKenzie Boulevard
  • Franklin Avenue
  • Thicket Drive
  • Confederation Way
  • Highway 63 within the Urban Service Area
  • School Zones within the Urban Service Area

  • Heritage Drive
  • Christina Gordon Public School
  • St. Kateri Catholic School
  • Walter and Gladys Hill Public School

DriveSafe Intersection Safety Systems are active at the following intersections:

  • Thickwood Boulevard and Silin Forest Road
  • Thickwood Boulevard and Woodland Drive

  • Thickwood Boulevard and Real Martin Drive
  • Franklin Avenue and Tamarack Village Mall
  • Franklin Avenue and Hospital Street
  • Confederation Way and Paquette Drive

We ask motorists to be mindful of posted speed limits and to obey traffic signals.
