Bylaw Services Weekly Update Oct. 2 – 8, 2017

(Fort McMurray, AB – September 29, 2017) – Did you know that the act of leaving behind mud and debris on the road from a muddy vehicle or piece of equipment is called tracking? This debris can damage other vehicles or clog our sewers when washed into them.

Any person who tracks on a road is responsible to clean up or remove the substance or material that was left behind. Those that do not may be subject to a fine of $500 under the Roads and Transportation Bylaw.

Please help keep our roads free of debris by cleaning up after yourselves if your vehicle leaves mud or debris behind.
