13,212 voters cast a ballot in the 2017 election, representing an estimated 22.4% of eligible voters in Wood Buffalo based on the estimated 2017 population accepted by Council in May, 2017.

The Mayor and Councillors will be sworn-in and will be holding their annual organizational meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. MT at Shell Place, Ballroom B&C (1 C.A. Knight Way). The swearing-in ceremony and meeting will be streamed live at rmwb.ca.
