Fort McMurray Urban Market Seeking Vendors for 2017 Season

(Fort McMurray, AB – April 04, 2017) – The Fort McMurray Urban Market is gearing up for its 5th season in the community.

The 2017 season will begin on Wednesday, June 21 and run throughout the summer until Wednesday, Sept. 20 in partnership with the Wood Buffalo Chamber of Commerce.

The Urban Market is an exciting and vibrant event that hosts a variety of vendors, community groups and special events. Located in Jubilee Plaza, the market offers residents fresh fruits and vegetables, handmade crafts, free-range meats, prepared lunch items, specialty coffees, ethnic food and more.

The Urban Market is a registered Alberta Farmers Market, meaning that 80 per cent of vendors make, bake or grow their products in Alberta. Vendor applications are available online and an information session will be held on April 24 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. on the first floor of the Jubilee Centre. The session will guide interested vendors through the application process, and rules and regulations, as well as offer suggestions on how to be a successful vendor.

“This is a great opportunity for local producers, crafters, artists and small businesses to sell their goods,” said coordinator Arndis Arnold. “We look forward to bringing vendors and customers together in the heart of our community.”
