Help Shape Diversity in Wood Buffalo by Participating in a Research Survey

(Fort McMurray, AB – February 17, 2017) – Residents are invited to participate in a research-based survey to help create a new community-driven Diversity Plan.

“This survey builds on the 2012-2015 Diversity Plan and Diversity Summits, where we heard from participants that they wish to see a new plan that is owned by the community as a whole,” said Tinna Ezekiel, Social Planning Coordinator. “With the input from residents, we want to identify current diversity strengths and gaps in our region and find ways to address them.”

The survey consists of open-ended questions that aim to get participants thinking about what diversity means to them and what makes them feel included in a community. The survey is available online at rmwb.ca/diversity and staff will be on hand to share the survey in person at the Multicultural Expo, Feb. 18, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m and MacDonald Island Park, Feb. 23, 3 – 8 p.m.
