Municipality announces interim CAO Annette Antoniak

(Fort McMurray, AB – November 29, 2016) – On behalf of Council, the Municipality is pleased to announce that Annette Antoniak will begin in the role of interim Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) on Dec. 7. 

“We are excited to have someone of Annette’s caliber join the Municipality’s leadership team. As a local resident, she knows our community well and brings tremendous personal skill, vision and business acumen to this important role.” said Mayor Melissa Blake. “I would like to thank outgoing CAO Marcel Ulliac for the many contributions during his tenure with the Municipality. We wish him all the best in his retirement.”

Prior to her current role as CEO of the Regional Recreation Corporation, Ms. Antoniak held a number of high-profile posts in large organizations, including stints as executive vice-president of Canada Place Corporation, president and CEO of the Pacific National Exhibition, president and CEO of the B.C. Olympic and Paralympic Games Secretariat, and CAO of the City of Penticton.

“I am pleased to be joining the RMWB in the role of Interim CAO,” said Ms. Antoniak. “I look forward to working with Mayor and Council along with all the staff at the RMWB. This is an incredible opportunity to continue to serve the Wood Buffalo Region over the next year.”

Ms. Antoniak’s term as interim CAO will run until December 2017.
