Residents Invited to Learn About FireSmart and Controlled Burns, Hazardous Tree Removal, ReLeaf and More

(Fort McMurray, AB – February 7, 2017) – Residents are invited to learn about work being done to manage forested areas and mitigate the risk of wildfire in the region.

A drop-in public information session will be held at the Doug Barnes Cabin on Saturday, February 11, 2017 to allow residents to learn more and to ask questions about ongoing projects. 

Topics will include FireSmart and controlled burns, hazardous tree removal, Tree Canada’s Operation ReLeaf - Fort McMurray, trail remediation and firebreak restoration.
