Residents and Businesses Invited to Spread Winter Cheer with Bam! Business Ambush

(Fort McMurray, AB – November 14, 2016) – Local businesses with storefronts have the opportunity to give their windows a seasonal makeover through the annual BAM! Business Ambush program.

Applications for the special winter edition of BAM! are open from Nov. 14 until Nov. 21. Residents who love to paint can also submit artwork for the chance to be selected to decorate store windows.

“Having beautiful winterscapes on store windows is a great way to kick off the holiday season,” said Mayor Melissa Blake. “Not only does BAM! help to show business owners how easy it is to beautify their storefronts, but it also promotes community pride and celebrates our northern winter culture.”

BAM! is a Wood Buffalo Communities in Bloom initiative. Communities in Bloom is a Canadian non-profit organization that fosters civic pride, environmental responsibility and beautification through community involvement in a national competition. The program promotes the combined involvement and effort by residents of all ages, the municipal government, local organizations and businesses.
