School service and transit updates announced: Effective Sept. 1

(Fort McMurray, AB – August 30, 2017) – Just in time for the new school year, Municipal Transit Services announces updates to routes, schedules and more, effective Friday, September 1.

Highlights of service updates include:

  • Route 7 (Abasand) and Route 8 (Beacon Hill) – Increase in service frequency.
  • Route 9 (Cartier Heights/Brett Drive) – Routing change to accommodate School Specials to Holy Trinity High School and École McTavish Junior High Public School.
  • Route 10 (Gregoire/Industrial) – Schedule change to accommodate students at Composite High School.
  • Route 17 (Parsons Creek/Morgan Heights) – Extended service to additional stop on Callen Drive.
  • Route 41 (Stone Creek/Eagle Ridge) – Increase in service frequency to accommodate School Specials.
  • Route 51 (Wood Buffalo) – Extended service to additional stop at Signal Road and Thickwood Shopping Centre.
  • Route 61 (Thickwood) – Increase in service frequency to accommodate School Specials.

  • Holy Trinity High School
  • Westwood High School
