Stuff-A-Bus event for Wood Buffalo Food Bank on Nov. 18

(Fort McMurray, AB – November 17, 2016) – On Nov. 18, the Municipality will celebrate the inaugural Stuff-A-Bus event to collect donations and non-perishable food items for the Wood Buffalo Food Bank.

In October, local schools and businesses registered for the event, and on Nov. 18 the Municipal Transit Stuff-A-Bus will be visiting participating organizations to collect donations. From 7 – 9 a.m., the bus will be parked along Franklin Ave., across from the municipal building. The Stuff-A-Bus team will be on location to collect donations, take photos, and share holiday spirit - you might even catch a glimpse of Santa and Mrs. Claus!

The school with the most non-perishable food donations per capita will win the Stuff-A-Bus challenge and be awarded with a free three-hour charter bus provided by Municipal Transit Services.

Visit rmwb.ca/transit to find out more about Stuff-A-Bus and recognize the contributing schools and businesses, residents are able to drop off donations at participating locations.
