Winter Maintenance Zones Activate December 6

(Fort McMurray, AB – December 5, 2016) – Winter Maintenance Zones will activate at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, December 6, including on-street parking restrictions.

Residents can identify their Zone by checking the signage along their residential street, by reviewing the mapping provided on the municipal website, or by using the Find Your Zone tool at rmwb.ca/snowplow.

Residents are responsible for complying with parking regulation as set out in the Roads and Transportation Bylaw No. 02/079. Parking tickets and towing fees are the responsibility of the vehicle owner. All towing information can be found at rmwb.ca/snowplow.

The Municipality’s priority is to inform and educate residents about the program and to facilitate on-street parking restrictions so that residents can avoid being ticketed or towed.

Motorists are advised to follow road equipment from a safe stopping distance and to allow space for visibility.
