Winter Maintenance Zones Will Reactivate on January 2

(Fort McMurray, AB – December 29, 2016) – Winter Maintenance Zones (WMZs) will come back into effect on Monday, Jan. 2, and residential on-street parking restrictions will resume.

Residents are responsible for complying with parking regulations as set out in the Roads and Transportation Bylaw No. 02/079. Parking tickets and towing fees are the responsibility of the vehicle owner. Towing and impound information can be found at rmwb.ca/snowplow.

WMZs have been relaxed during the Christmas holiday season from Dec. 26 until Dec. 30.

Residents are reminded that WMZs will not be relaxed for any other statutory holidays that fall on weekdays between Oct. 15 and April 15.
