RMWB Wildfire Recovery Information

The municipality wishes to reassure residents of their safety as smoke from wildfires in the Northwest Territories is blown through northern Alberta.

This is a common occurrence and residents should not be concerned for their safety. There are no active wildfires in the vicinity of Fort McMurray or the surrounding communities. For health advice or questions call 811 or go to MyHealth.Alberta.ca.

As the community continues to recover from the May 2016 wildfire, residents are reminded of the mental health supports that are available to them in times of need.

Mental Health services are now available through Alberta Health Services at the Fort McMurray Queen Street Building (10217 Queen Street). Walk-ins and scheduled appointments are welcome. Services include addiction and mental health counselling. Services are open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.

If you need to talk, call the Mental Health Help Line at 1-877-303-2642 or Health Link at 811.
