RMWB Wildfire Recovery Information

As part of the Municipality’s ongoing effort to support recovery, landfill tipping fees have been waived for residents until October 31, 2016.

The extension is intended to offer homeowners and tenants from these affected neighbourhoods equal access to the waived fees made available to residents during the initial re-entry period starting June 1.

The fee waiver applies to residential household waste brought to the landfill by personal vehicles, including small amounts of demolition and renovation materials (e.g., items impacted by smoke, fire or flooding), bagged waste and large items (i.e. furniture, white goods, small appliances, etc.).

With demolition and debris removal underway, the residential landfill tipping waiver will aid in efficient waste removal.
