Wood Buffalo Economic Development, in partnership with the Government of Alberta, is pleased to announce a Back to Business Coaching Program. Coordinated through the Back to Business Resource Centre (BBRC), the Coaching Program is dedicated to setting up local businesses for success.

“The wildfires left many businesses in need of financial and professional support, and this program was created in direct response to help our business community,” said Lisa Slade, Back to Business Resource Centre Lead, Wood Buffalo Economic Development. “Consultants from the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Alberta are available for one-on-one coaching and will help business owners and managers define issues, set priorities and establish an action plan that can be implemented immediately to help drive business successes.”

Businesses must meet the following to be eligible for the free program:

  • Participant to be at least 50 per cent owner of the business. The owner also has the option to designate a staff member on their behalf.
  • Operating within the region prior to May 3, 2016.
  • Currently located or headquartered within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
