Alberta Culture Days seeking artists, venues, and creative ideas to celebrate Region’s vibrant culture

(Fort McMurray, AB – June 30, 2020) – September is now Month of the Artist, and to complement this, Alberta Culture Days will span the month of September. Local event organizers are encouraged to register by July 10 to be included in the provincial Alberta Culture Days grant program.

The Wood Buffalo Alberta Culture Days planning committee is seeking individuals and organizations to help organize and host fun, family-friendly events that feature the region’s diverse culture. The events and activities can take place online, as well as in-person, given they adhere to COVID-19 public health measures,

“Registering early provides the Wood Buffalo Alberta Culture Days planning committee with a greater ability to prepare and plan for the coming year’s events,” said Jessica Barry, Community Strategies Coordinator. “We are looking for local artists, performers, event hosts and venue operators to help us celebrate arts and culture in our region.”

To participate, register online at rmwb.ca/culturedays

Alberta Culture Days is a province-wide celebration of arts and culture. The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo has participated in this annual celebration since 2009.
