Downtown revitalization: Have your say at new engagement sessions

(Fort McMurray, AB – July 22, 2019) – The Municipality is inviting the community to additional public engagement opportunities focused on downtown revitalization.

At these drop-in sessions, municipal representatives and volunteer community ambassadors will be there to listen to your ideas, share information and answer your questions about downtown revitalization.

This next step follows seven public engagement sessions over the last month and over 90 meetings with stakeholders, individuals and community leadership groups. Residents are also welcome to share their vision for downtown revitalization through an online survey at rmwb.ca/downtown.

Additional engagement opportunities, including for rural communities, will be finalized and announced in the weeks ahead.

Ideas gathered from the community are being used to help capture the community’s current vision for downtown revitalization in Fort McMurray. Downtown revitalization is identified as key priority in Council’s 2018-2021 Strategic Plan.
