Registration for annual Fall Community Cleanup opens September 1

(Fort McMurray, AB – August 31, 2018) – Help create a litter-free Wood Buffalo! It’s time for the annual Fall Community Cleanup.

“Over 8,000 volunteers participated in the 2018 spring cleanup,” said Jennifer MacMullin, Recreation and Culture Coordinator. “We encourage community members to continue their great work and sign up for the cleanup this fall!”

Registration for this year’s fall campaign will be open from September 1-30. Residents, friends, schools, businesses and neighbours are encouraged to show their community spirit by volunteering to clean up their favourite park, green space, block, trail or roadway.

Cleaning supplies, including yellow garbage bags and gloves, are provided by the RMWB.

Volunteers are also encouraged to take part in the Pick and Click Photo Contest for a chance to win a prize provided by the Wood Buffalo Regional Library.

Register for the Fall Community Cleanup by visiting rmwb.ca/cleanup. If you have questions related to the Community Cleanup, please call 780-743-7966.
