Residents and businesses invited to spread winter cheer through the Business Beautification Program

(Fort McMurray, AB – October 25, 2017) – Local businesses with storefronts have the opportunity to give their windows a seasonal makeover through the Business Beautification Program.

Applications for the winter edition of the Business Beautification Program are open until Wednesday, Nov. 8.

Residents who love to paint can also submit an application for the chance to be selected to decorate store windows.

“As a northern Canadian region, winter is a big part of our identity,” said Joanne Fisher, Wood Buffalo Communities in Bloom committee member. “Decorating store windows is a fun and easy way to beautify our community and share some of that holiday cheer with others.”

Selected painters will be provided with painting supplies as well as a fee for service for each completed window painting. For full program and application guidelines, visit rmwb.ca/bbp.

The Business Beautification Program is a Wood Buffalo Communities in Bloom initiative. Communities in Bloom is a Canadian non-profit organization that fosters civic pride, environmental responsibility and beautification. The program promotes the combined involvement and effort by citizens of all ages, the municipal government, local organizations and businesses.
