Spread holiday joy to families in need with Toys for Tickets

(Fort McMurray, AB – November 30, 2017) – Motorists who receive parking tickets between Dec. 1 and 15 will have the opportunity to pay their ticket with toys through the Municipality’s Toys for Tickets program.

Toys will be accepted at the South Operations Centre (140 Saprae Creek Trail) between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., on Dec. 18 and 19. All toys will be donated to the Fort McMurray Salvation Army, who will distribute them to local families in need through their Adopt-A-Family program.

Members of the public who have not received a parking ticket are also encouraged to donate toys to the program.

Toys must be new, in original packaging and accompanied by their receipts. If the toy’s value is lower than the price of the ticket, gift cards and a validation slip will be accepted for the difference.

The program applies to tickets issued for timed parking and Winter Maintenance Zones infractions.

For more information about Toys for Tickets, visit or call Bylaw Services at 780-762-5858.
