Vote in the 2016 Ward 2 By-Election Advance Polls

(Fort McMurray, AB – January 26, 2015) – Advance polls for the Ward 2 By-Election will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Jan. 27 and 28 in Fort MacKay and Fort Chipewyan. 

Voting stations will be set up at the following locations:

  • Fort Chipewyan Municipal Contact Office, 101 Loutit St.
  • Fort MacKay Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo Office (located in the Fort McKay Métis Group Ltd. Building)

Are you eligible to vote in the by-election? You can vote if ALL of the following apply:

  • You are at least 18 years old;
  • You are a Canadian citizen;
  • You have lived in Alberta since Aug. 8, 2015;
  • You reside in Ward 2 (Fort Chipewyan, Fort MacKay, Fort Fitzgerald) on By-Election Day (Feb. 8, 2016);
  • You produce proper identification for inspection.

First Nations Reserves are not part of the Municipality; therefore, any individual who resides on a First Nations Reserve is not eligible to vote in this by-election.

Polls will be open on Feb. 8 in Fort Chipewyan, Fort Fitzgerald and Fort MacKay.
