Judging and Results

In 2016, the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo participated in the category of Circle of Excellence (non evaluated). Committee members attended the annual Communities in Bloom Symposium and Awards in Regina, Saskatchewan and it was announced that the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo was selected as the host for the 2020 Communities in Bloom Symposium and Awards.

New scoring was added in 2015 - 4 levels of 5 Blooms exclusive to the National and International evaluated categories:

82 to 83.9 per cent: 5 Blooms
84 to 86.9 per cent: 5 Blooms - Bronze
87 to 89.9 per cent: 5 Blooms - Silver
90 per cent and over: 5 Blooms - Gold

Criteria

The evaluation measures participation from Municipal, Business & Institutions, Residential sectors and Community Involvement in the following six criteria:
