PULSE: Call Line
The Pulse: Wood Buffalo Call Line is a 24/7 call line that is available to Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo citizens 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Operated by our Regional Emergency Services (RES) Dispatch, this service offers real person support for all inquiries, requests and complaints. A trained Dispatcher will answer every call, and if they can’t answer a question immediately, you can expect a personal response within 48 hours.
Using the familiar 780-743-7000 phone number, you can call the Municipality after regular business hours, on weekends, and even on statutory holidays. This 24/7, non-emergency, call line will provide accurate, and always current, information around the clock. In urgent situations (such as a water break) RES Dispatch will contact on-call emergency staff from relevant departments. In non-urgent situations (like when you need information about road closures or snow removal), a Dispatcher will answer your question or pass it along to be answered by daytime personnel within 48 hours. A real person will always answer the phone.
The Pulse: Wood Buffalo Call Line does NOT replace 911 for emergency calls, but is available for any non-emergency questions/requests/thoughts you many have concerning the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. This is a friendly, simple way to keep your finger on the pulse of your community. Just because our departments are not open 24 hours a day, doesn’t mean we aren’t. Day or night, call us. Your real concerns will be addressed by real people.
