Wood Buffalo Housing & Development Corporation (WBHDC) is focused on fulfilling its mandate to provide affordable housing and related services to senior citizens and low and middle income families living within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.

WBHDC offers a variety of programs to meet the needs of seniors as well as moderate to low income individuals and families. STHT provides hard to house individuals and families in our community with the structure and support they need to address critical issues necessary to obtain and maintain permanent housing. Services are also provided to individuals at risk of losing their housing due to their circumstances.

For men only and offers a bed and meals on a first-come, first-served basis. Clients must be sober. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and close at 11:00 p.m. Clients must leave by 7:30 a.m. for the day. Lockers are provided so that personal items can be left during the day. A hot, cooked meal is provided at 5:00 p.m.; breakfast is served in the morning and a bagged lunch can be taken out.

Operates September 1st to March 31st, and opens each evening at 5:00 p.m. Doors close at 11:00 p.m. Accepts both men and women on a first-come, first-served basis. This program is specifically designed for clients who may be under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
