Household Hazardous Waste

Household hazardous waste contains chemicals that could be harmful to the environment if they aren’t disposed of properly, including cleaning products, paints, adhesives, solvents, gardening chemicals, automotive fluids, old electronics and batteries. A full list of common hazardous household waste can be found below.

Residents are also able to drop off household quantities of electronic and hazardous waste at the municipal landfill year round, free of charge.

The Municipality is committed to its role as a steward of sustainable practice and protecting the natural environment.

Household Hazardous Waste Roundup

Every year, the municipality hosts the Household Hazardous Waste Roundup. This free service is intended to help residents conveniently dispose of hazardous waste in an environmentally responsible manner.

The last roundup was held Sept. 10, 2016. Stay tuned for updates on the next roundup event.
