Approved: Timberlea Area Structure Plan

The Timberlea Area Structure Plan was prepared by UMA Engineering Ltd. in collaboration with the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. The plan was prepared over a period of seven months with intensive public participation including round table sessions, an open house and a public hearing held in early 2001. The plan was approved at a regular council meeting held on March 27, 2001.

The Timberlea Area Structure Plan outlines the future pattern for growth of this area. It looks in detail at the land use for each portion of the plan area, the transportation network, the scheduling of services, location of community facilities and the sequencing of development. It incorporates changes that were made based on concerns from residents, developers and community organizations.

The plan is made available on the web for extensive viewing by the public and other interested parties. Please contact Planning and Development should you require additional information.

Please note that amendments to these plans are consolidated on a quarterly basis.
