Request to Speak


Please be advised that you can register to speak as a delegate to the 2nd reading of Bylaw No. 20/014 – 2020 Flood Response by pre-registering by 12:00 noon on May 6, 2020.

Should you wish to speak to Bylaw No. 20/009 – Rural Area Water and Wastewater Service Connection Bylaw or Bylaw No. 20/012 – 2020 Property Tax Rate Bylaw, you can register to speak as a delegate at the 2nd reading of these Bylaws on May 12, 2020.

Requests to speak must be in reference to a specific item on a Council meeting agenda.

Agendas for Council meetings are published on the Friday of the week before the meeting, to register to speak as a delegate to an item on Councils Agenda please send an email to: Legislative.Assistants@rmwb.ca

To submit written comments during the live meeting:

During the COVID-19 Pandemic Council will be conducting their meetings through electronic communications in accordance with the Meeting Procedures (Covid-19 Suppression) Regulation, Order in Council 99/2020.

To submit written comments relative to an item on the Agenda please email Legislative.Assistants@rmwb.ca during the Council Meeting

  • You must include your name for the record.
  • You must provide the name of the agenda item that you wish to speak to in the subject line.
  • Please note that email comments for an agenda item must be received prior to the start of that item during the meeting. Emails that are received after the agenda item has been introduced or are not relevant to an agenda item, will not become part of the record of this meeting.
  • Please note that all written submissions are public and will be shared with Council verbally on the record during the course of the meeting.
  • Each submission will be shared verbally with Council for a maximum of 5 minutes.

Request to Speak as delegate:

Request to Speak emails must include the following:

  • Meeting Date you would like to speak at,
  • Agenda Item Title,
  • Speakers name(s),
  • Group you’re speaking on behalf of,
  • Daytime phone number, and 
  • Email

Please check in with Legislative Services upon arrival at the Council meeting

In Person: until the start of the meeting.

Please note that speakers are allotted a maximum of five (5) minutes in duration.
