The maximum design load limit of 45,000 kg for the Fort Chipewyan Winter Road has been achieved for the 2019/2020 season and no further increases are expected. Motorists with vehicles heavier than 45,000 kg are requested to stay off the winter road. Overly heavy vehicles could damage the road or cause safety hazards.
