(Fort McMurray, AB – November 13, 2018) – The Community Investment Program (CIP) is now accepting applications for the Community Plan on Homelessness (CPH) Grant. The CPH Grant opportunity is available to non-profit organizations serving the homeless population, with the objective of meeting the goals identified in the Community Plan on Homelessness.

The RMWB receives funding allocations from the provincial and federal governments to support the goals and implementation of the Community Plan on Homelessness — Heading Home: The Right Thing to Do, 10-Year Plan to End Homelessness 2010-2020. The CIP distributes this funding through the CPH Grant to non-profit organizations that run programs focused on the following:

1. Prevention
2. Diversion
3. Outreach
4. Coordinated Access

The deadline to apply for the Community Plan on Homelessness Grant is 4:30 p.m. MST, December 7, 2018.

Non-profit organizations must schedule a meeting with the CPH team to discuss the potential program before submitting a CPH Grant application. To schedule an appointment, please email CPH@rmwb.ca or call Pulse at 780-743-7000.

Applications are considered by the Homelessness Initiative Strategic Committee (HISC) and their recommendations are presented to Council. All funding allocations are approved by Council.
