Deadline extended for volunteer applications for two municipal committees

(Fort McMurray, AB – September 30, 2019) – The deadline to apply as a volunteer to serve on two Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo Council-appointed Committees has been extended until 4:00 p.m. on October 4.

The Wood Buffalo Downtown Revitalization Advisory Committee (WBDRAC) will make recommendations to Council on matters pertaining to downtown revitalization. The WBDRAC is still seeking representation from three sectors: Indigenous, Seniors and Education. Representation from other sectors has now been filled.

The Wood Buffalo Waterfront Advisory Committee (WBWAC) will make recommendations to Council on matters pertaining to waterfront revitalization. The WBWAC is seeking representation from a variety of sectors. 

Committees help advise Council on matters that affect the public, giving residents a chance to provide input to decision-makers in local government. For more information or to apply online, visit rmwb.ca/boards.
