La Loche Winter Trail load limit increases to 27,500 kg

(Fort McMurray, AB – February 4, 2019) – The load limit on the La Loche winter trail has increased to 27,500 kg.

Crews continue to perform maintenance on the La Loche winter trail. Please obey all posted signage and watch for workers on the road. When passing equipment, please reduce speed to 30 km/h for everyone’s safety.

Visit rmwb.ca/winterroads and click on the subscribe icon to sign up for email notifications. Those signed up for the notifications will receive a direct email when the Municipality announces winter road and trail updates. After subscribing, please check your inbox for a confirmation email.

High clearance 4x4 vehicles are recommended. There are no regular services like road patrol, gas stations or cell phone coverage, so always be prepared for emergencies.
