La Loche winter trail to close for season on March 13

(Fort McMurray, AB – March 12, 2019) – Motorists are notified that the La Loche winter trail will be closing for the season on March 13 at noon.

This means that vehicles will no longer be able to operate on the La Loche winter trail after 12 p.m. on Wednesday. Your cooperation is appreciated.

The Fort Chipewyan winter road remains open, but with the warmer temperatures, load limits have been restricted to 5,000 kg and lighter during daytime hours (10 a.m. until 10 p.m.). Residents and industry are encouraged to make any trips or transport heavier loads on the Fort Chipewyan winter road as soon as practical.
