Mayor’s Advisory Council on Youth recruiting new members for 2020-2021 term

(Fort McMurray, AB – June 23, 2020) – The Mayor’s Advisory Council on Youth (MACOY) will be recruiting new members over the summer for the 2020/2021 school year. The applications are now open to grade 7 – 12 students in Wood Buffalo who want to become actively engaged citizens and have a voice in decisions that affect them.

“The youth in our region are bright, energetic, and bring a unique perspective to the issues and opportunities we face as a community,” said Nicole Martyn-Dickinson, Social Program Advisor with Neighbourhood and Community Development. “We want to hear your voice on important matters in Wood Buffalo.”

MACOY brings together like-minded students looking to make a difference from across the region. Members meet once a month and participate in numerous events throughout the school year.
