RMWB seeks public input on policing priorities for 2019/2020

(Fort McMurray, AB – February 11, 2019) – The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB) is seeking input from the public on the region’s policing priorities for the next fiscal year of 2019-2020.

The Wood Buffalo RCMP is committed to preserving the peace, upholding the law and providing quality service in partnership with the communities it serves. In addition, the Fort McMurray and Fort Chipewyan detachments establish annual policing priorities that focus on issues identified by the public.

To ensure these policing priorities align with those of the public, the RMWB has partnered with the RCMP to conduct a brief survey.

Residents are invited to provide their feedback online, in person or over the phone between February 11 and March 5. Take the survey online at rmwb.ca/rcmp/app or by calling PULSE at 780-743-7000.

Information collected from this survey will be reviewed and considered by the RCMP and Council.
